Containment of Communism

Why it all Matters

Due to the amount of effort to contain communism that the United States and other countries put towards Russia, the spread of Communism was not completely stopped. The spread of communism was slowed down and restricted to small areas. Sadly, the United States was not able to fully contain communism, and the policy of containment was considered a failure.  The United States have won wars that dealt with containing communism, but in the end started to realize that they were only able to slow down communism but were not able to stop it from spreading completely.  Therefore, despite the valiant attempts of the U.S. and its allies, the principle of containing communism was a disappointment from many peoples perspectives. This containment process helped make the United States of America the great and powerful nation that it is today, from the weapons and space races between the U.S. and the Russians.
